Today they can be few more exhilarating Topics on which to write them the Incarnation of the Living God. After a long period of eclipse the idea of the Gospel and the Church is coming again into its own.
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David
a Saviour which is Christ the Lord”.
These words of the disciple in the Gospel remind us on the day of the celebration of the Incarnation of the Son of God vividly of the purpose for which God made each one of us, and therefore the chief goal in life. Life hasten on from one immediate duty to the next, from one planned event to the other little time for us to stop and think about the great issues of our lives, so Christmas comes to us as a welcome reminder and golden opportunity to stop, reflect and pray.
I exhort all the readers to take full advantage of the EVENT for spiritual renewal.
An essential part of your celebration of calling as His Light, His Disciples is to live in a Communion of love with one another that is an image of love in the Holy Spirit and shows forth that love to the world.
Very Merry Christmas to all.
With fervent prayers in the Incarnate Lord,
Metropolitan Paul Saliba
of the Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines
