The Orthodox Christian Faith has not only been a spiritual and moral force amongst the various nations and peoples which have adopted it, but one of cultural import as well. This of course is not coincidental, as the message of the Christian Gospel is not to subvert or override the indigenous culture or language of any given people or nation; but to transfigure it, and weave into its very fabric as a means of expressing the truths of the Gospel and to become a force for love within a particular community. This naturally corresponds with to the exhortation that Christ issued to His Apostles and all those Christians that came after them, to go forth amongst all the nations preaching, living and baptizing in the name of the Holy Trinity.
