“The Taybeh Brewing Company regrets to announce that the harsh conditions of Palestine have led to the decision to cancel the 10th Annual Taybeh Oktoberfest 2014. The Taybeh Beer family expresses solidarity and prayers for all the suffering people of Gaza, the West Bank and the communities in the Middle East and grieves the tragic loss of innocent life.
Since 2005, Taybeh Oktoberfest has been a unique opportunity to initiate a distinctive-style festival in Palestine that is aimed at promoting local products, boosting the economy and bringing a sense of normality to the harsh conditions faced under occupation. The Taybeh Oktoberfest also provides an international cultural exchange with many bands and dance performers traveling from all over the world to join local artist groups to share their art on the Palestinian stage.
The organizers are grateful to those who have supported the Taybeh Oktoberfest for the past nine successful festivals, and hope for your continued support.
As the Taybeh Beer logo displays the sun as a symbol of hope and a bright future for Palestine, the Taybeh Brewing Company will continue to hope for peaceful times to celebrate Taybeh Oktoberfest in 2015.
